Thomas Belesis – CEO

Thomas Belesis is the creator and CEO of John Thomas Financial, a New York City-based financial services business. Following a successful profession in brokerage and investment banking on Wall Street, Mr. Belesis founded John Thomas in 2007 having a vision toward linking innovation and funds within emerging businesses.

Mr. Belesis’ strong leadership and economic understanding helped to develop John Thomas Financial from a boutique broker-dealer and expense bank into what’s now a worldwide firm with several tactical affiliates including John Thomas Private Wealth Management, JTF Insurance and John Thomas Global Trading.Mr. Belesis is dedicated to leveraging his private sector expertise and financial knowledge to deal with the trio of crises experienced by the majority of mankind today: water-food-energy. An Executive Board Member of the World Energy Forum since 2009, Mr. Belesis frequently collaborates with world leaders on international environmental problems. He also serves as Chairman of the Board of the Un Global Millennium Development Basis, a non-governmental organization focused on raising cash from the private sector to be able to help eight particular U.N. targets from halving extreme poverty to stopping the spread of HIV/AIDS.In January 2012, Mr. Belesis was named to the Board of Trustees of the New York Institute of Energy and Water, a mission-driven university that aspires to produce a new paradigm for sustainable development focused on power, water and surroundings through degree and study. John Thomas and its subsidiaries are active in financing alternative energy, coal, oil and gas aswell as exploration companies both domestically and globally.

Mr. Belesis is energetic in the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, Gabrielle’s Angel Foundation for Cancer Research, Autism Speaks and The Newmark School. Other nonprofit organizations Mr. Belesis contributes to contain animal rights and rescue charities and the Greek America Foundation.

Mr. Belesis appears frequently on broadcast media, including FOX Business News and CNBC, as a panelist and giving guest on problems regarding finance and the market as well as national politics.
